Online Notarization of Power of Attorney
Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that grants an individual or entity the authority to act on behalf of another in personal, business, or legal matters. At Trustword , we prepare and notarize customized POAs that are tailored to your specific needs—whether general or specific—ensuring they meet all UAE legal requirements. Our team ensures a smooth, accurate, and legally compliant process for empowering trusted representatives.
In line with the UAE government’s vision to digitize public services, notaries across the Emirates have adopted an online notarization process. This e-notarization is conducted via video conferencing and secured through a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the principal’s registered email and phone. During the video call, the notary public verifies the identity of the principal (the person granting the Power of Attorney) and confirms their consent to issue the POA. Once the process is complete, the electronically notarized POA is sent directly to the principal via email.

A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that grants authority to an individual to act on behalf of another in personal, financial, or business matters. Whether you need to delegate power for property management, legal representation, or financial transactions, Trustword offers expertly drafted and notarized POA documents that fully comply with UAE laws.
Why is a Power of Attorney Important?
A POA is essential when you need to authorize someone to make decisions or act on your behalf—especially when you’re unavailable, overseas, or legally require a representative.
Types of Power of Attorney We Offer
At Trustword, we provide a range of POA services tailored to your unique requirements:
General Power of Attorney
A General Power of Attorney gives your agent the authority to do almost anything you could do if you were present, such as enter into contracts, buy and sell assets (with the exception of real estate), establish and manage companies, receiving money etc. in your name. Along with broad powers, a General POA carries a broader potential for misuse or abuse. For this reason, it is very important that the person whom you select as your agent be trustworthy.
Real Estate Power of Attorney
The are three types of Real Estate Power of Attorneys, here we mention the three:
- Power Of Attorney for Property Management
A Power of Attorney for Property Management allows you to appoint another person or entity (also known as an “agent” or “attorney-in-fact”) to manage your real estate properties. This POA does not empower the agent to buy or sell a real estate on your behalf. Using the POA for Property Management, you can authorize your real estate agent, relative or friend to rent out your apartment or office, sign tenancy agreements, receive rental payments, maintain your apartments, and represent you before government authorities or private entities in relation to your real estate properties. Such POA is normally given to a real estate broker, real estate management companies or your relatives or friends who can perform the above tasks on behalf of you.
- Power Of Attorney for Property Sale
A Power of Attorney for Property Sale allows you to appoint another person or entity to sell your real estate property on behalf of you. If you need to travel or have no time to go through the formalities of selling a real estate, you may consider giving a Power of Attorney to another trusted person or entity, such as our firm, who can handle the formalities for you.
As per the Dubai Land Department (DLD) rules, a POA for Property Sale must not be more than 2 years old. If a POA has been executed, the document has to be used within two years from the date it has come into effect. Otherwise, re-validation of a POA would be required.
There are several other limitations with regards to such POA, which have been implemented by concerned real estate authorities to protect the real estate owners and prevent misuse of the POA.
Since not too long ago, it has been allowed to give a POA for Property Sale/Purchase to real estate brokers.
In a Power of Attorney for selling a real estate, the property details must be specified in the POA and you need to have ownership documents such as a Title Deed in your name.
- Power Of Attorney for Property Buying
A Power of Attorney for Property Buying allows you to appoint another person or entity to buy real estate properties on behalf of you. If you are outside the country or simply have no time to go through the formalities of buying a real estate, you may consider giving a Power of Attorney to another person or entity, such as our firm, who can handle the formalities for you.
Since not too long ago, a POA for Buying/Selling a real estate can be given to real estate brokers or persons holding real estate related positions.
Power Of Attorney for Business & Corporate Affairs
There are five types of Business & Corporate Power of Attorneys, here we mention the five:
- Power Of Attorney for Company Incorporation
A Power of Attorney for Company Incorporation allows you to appoint one or more agents to establish a company or enter into a partnership for and on behalf of you. You can authorize an agent to sign company formation documents such as Memorandum and Articles of Association, lease agreement, partnership agreement, local service agent agreement and other legal documents and application forms to register a company and obtain a license on behalf of you.
This type of Power of Attorney is ideal for appointing an agent specifically for establishing a company on your behalf, without granting the broad powers that are normally included in a general power of attorney.
For company formation, your agent doesn’t have to be a lawyer; however, we advise to appoint an agent who is familiar with local rules and regulations.
- Power Of Attorney for Company Management
A Power of Attorney for Company Management allows you to authorize a person or the company’s General Manager to run and manage the day-to-day operations of your company. The range of activities which the attorney or a general manager is authorized under such Power of Attorney include: negotiating and signing contracts for the sale of the company’s products or services, hiring or terminating employees, hiring auditors or lawyers, buying and selling property, dealing with banks and managing bank accounts, dealing with export/import and customs, representing the company before any judicial and other authorities and federal and state government departments, signing applications and other documents relating to utilities services, assigning tasks to employees of the company, etc.
Use a POA for Company Management if you wish to give someone authorization to manage your company in your absence. Powers and authorities of the agent can be broad or limited to certain tasks, which will be decided by you.
Using this business power of attorney form, you can also specify or limit the powers of your company’s general manager, which is very important for managing your business smoothly and securely.
- Power Of Attorney for Company Shares
A Power of Attorney for Company Shares allows you to authorize another person to represent your interests in relation to your shares in a company. If you are a shareholder in one or more companies, but most of the time you are outside the country and thus cannot be present in shareholders’ meetings, or cannot be present to sign resolutions, then you can give a Power of Attorney for Company Shares to your representative. The range of activities which a POA for Company Shares authorizes include: signing resolutions, attending shareholders meetings, transfer of shares, representing your interests before any judicial authorities, federal and local government departments, third parties etc.
Use a POA for Company Shares if you wish to give someone authorization to manage your shares in a company in your absence. Powers and authorities of the agent can be broad or limited to certain tasks, which can be decided by you.
- Power Of Attorney for Value Added Tax (Vat)
A Power of Attorney for VAT allows you to appoint one or more agents to represent the company before tax authorities in relation to VAT matters including VAT registration, filing VAT returns, claim refunds, submission of documents, etc.
To register for VAT, some specific documents must be submitted to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), including the business or trade license, certificate of incorporation, as well as proof of authorization for the manager or the authorized signatory (e.g. Articles of Association, Board Resolution or a Power of Attorney). Thus, a POA for VAT is one of the mandatory requirements of the FTA, if the company is being represented not by its owner but by a manager or a third party (e.g. tax agent).
This type of Power of Attorney is ideal for authorizing the company’s manager or appointing a tax agent or an accountant specifically to deal with VAT matters on behalf of the company.
- Power Of Attorney for Trademark Registration
A Power of Attorney for Trademark Registration allows you to appoint a legal representative or agent to act on your behalf in all matters related to trademark protection, including filing applications, responding to objections, managing renewals, and handling enforcement procedures.
To register a trademark in the UAE, specific documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Economy, including the trademark details, applicant information, and proof of authorization for the representative handling the registration. A Power of Attorney is one of the key requirements, particularly when the application is filed by someone other than the trademark owner—such as a legal firm, trademark agent, or authorized company representative.
This type of Power of Attorney is ideal for authorizing an agent or legal expert to handle all aspects of trademark registration and management, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and a smooth registration process.
Family Power of Attorney
There are four types of Business & Corporate Power of Attorneys, here we mention the four:
- POA / Travel Consent for Child | Child Travel Consent Form UAE

Using the child travel consent form, you can authorize your spouse or another adult to accompany, look after and make decisions for your child(ren) on behalf of you during a trip.
In some countries it’s mandatory to have a Travel Consent Form or Letter if one of the parents is travelling with a child without the other parent. It is always mandatory to have a child Travel Consent Form from parents or legal guardian if a child is traveling with an adult who is not a parent or legal guardian of the child.

You should give a Child Travel Consent Letter to someone whom you trust completely to be the caretaker of your children during a trip
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) / No Objection Letter for Child Visa
No Objection Certificate (NOC), alias No Objection Letter, is consent from the father stating that the father has no objection to the mother to sponsor their children. Using the NOC form, you can authorize your wife to sponsor visas for your child(ren).
The NOC must be in Arabic language and notarized by the UAE notary public.
If the NOC is issued outside the UAE, then it must be notarized in the home country and attested by the UAE Embassy/Consulate in the country of origin and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs inside the UAE, which needs to be officially translated into Arabic.
The NOC is one of the most important requirements for a mother sponsoring a child in Dubai.
However, please keep in mind that the mother is not allowed to sponsor her child’s visa if the father is a UAE resident and meets the requirements for sponsoring a child in Dubai.
So, if you’re an expat mother who needs NOC from your husband to sponsor a child’s visa in Dubai, you’ve come to the right place. We can assist you with the full process of issuing NOC from father to wife to sponsor the child’s visa.
